"Music is an outstanding gift of God and next to theology," said Dr. Martin Luther. At the birth of Jesus, the angels of God sang in the heavens: "Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace to men on whom His favor rests." (Luke 2:14) Can we, His creatures, do less in response to the love of God than to sing to the praise, honor and glory of our God?
Worship at Pilgrim is enhanced by our choir and instrumentalists. St. Paul encourages us to, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in you hearts to God." (Colossians 3:16)
There is a Bell choir that practices weekly and enhances our worship services. Consult the church bulletin for their rehearsal time.
We have two choirs. One that sings in the liturgical service know as the Church Choir and the other in the contemporary service called the Praise Choir. You are invited to join either choir or to offer your voice for a solo.
As a a worshiper at Pilgrim, you will want to join in the singing of our hymns. If God has given you the special talent of vocal and/or instrumental music, you will want to use that gift for the glory of God. Pilgrim offers a wide variety of opportunities for your participation in its music program. Volunteer your talents to the Music Director.
