Other Fee Information

Building Fee ~ The building fee is annual per family fee. The building fee will be included in your monthly tuition unless it is received by July 01, 2008. The building fee is determined by the grade of your oldest Pilgrim student. The maximum dollar amount for the building fee is $200. It is considered non-refundable once paid.

By completing the recommended volunteer hours of 25 hours a family may request a $100.00 refund (K-8th) of the building fee.  A large portion of the School’s success and enhanced curriculum is dependant on volunteers.  There are multiple areas where the School continues to need volunteers including the auction, PTL, classroom helpers. Hot lunch assistants,   building maintenance, marketing, help in the office and assisting on field trips. These are just a few opportunities to fulfill your volunteer hours. By your child seeing you volunteer they see that they are important to you and that education should be important to them. The building fee will be held in a designated fund that will go to the repair or replacement of the heating/cooling system.  The older wing of the school does not have air conditioning and the heating system is over 50 years old.

The pre 3’s and 4’s and half-day kindergarten are able to request $50 (The amount of this year,s increase).

Additional Fees ~ Activity Fee is required. Milk Fee, Yearbook Fee and Hot Lunch Fee are optional fees. These fees will be due before the first day of school. The Activity Fee, Yearbook Fee and Milk Fee are non-refundable once paid.

Student Scholarship Fund ~ Student Scholarships are available in the school office. Applications for the 2008-2009 school year are due in April.

Financial Commitment Forms ~ Financial commitment forms must be signed and returned to the school office as part of registration for re-enrollment.

Referral Fee ~ Current families will receive an annual $250 tuition discount for each 1st-8th grade family who attends the school through their referral. The referral fee for preschool and kindergarten is $100.

Registration Fee ~ The registration fee of $100 for preschool, $125 for kindergarten AM and $200 for grades kindergarten All Day and grades 1-8 will be due at time of enrollment. The registration fee will only be refunded if the family is relocating outside the area.

Tuition ~ Tuition is on a 12-month basis from July, 2008 to June, 2008. Tuition payments for July and August considered non-refundable.

Tuition Discounts ~ Pilgrim Lutheran Church gives a tuition discount to its members in good standing who are attending grades K-8 at Pilgrim Lutheran School. If you have any questions about membership, please contact Pastor Hering through the church office at 503.644.4656. Pilgrim Lutheran School will honor any discount given by churches that are a member of the Westside Lutheran School Association. Check with your Lutheran church to see if you qualify.
